Oh, und: bitte macht Euch klar, dass es auch so ein kulturelles Ding ist, dass digitale Assistenten alle "weiblich" sind und die angeblich so super-schlauen KIs alle "männlich".

Find ich ned so gut und auch ziemlich nervig. Bin dafür die Computer kriegen Roboterstimmen.

Allerdings, das möchte ich festhalten, hätte man das auch mit einem Anrufbeantworter machen können: "Bitte sprechen Sie Ihren Namen, Ihre Adresse und Telefonnummer aufs Band. Bitte geben Sie auch den Grund Ihres Anrufs an. Wir melden uns innerhalb von 24h bei Ihnen."

Gerade irgendwo angerufen um zu fragen was jetzt mit dem Dings ist. Ans Telefon geht "Sabine" von telefonassistent.de .
Ich sage "Sabine, ich will mit einem Menschen sprechen." "Sabine" will dafür die Telefonnummer und meinen Namen haben und verspricht, als ich die dann hergegeben habe, dass sich jemand innerhalb von 24h meldet.
Auf der Webseite sehe ich: https://www.telefonassistent.de/sicherheit nimmt die Bedenken, die ich ansprechen wollte wahr und tut schon was deswegen.

I just rewatched Crossroads (1986) for the first time in this millennium. The last (probably only) time I'd seen it before was on TV and I was too little to understand half of what was going on. But of course I remembered the guitar duel.
It is a fun movie. It doesn't let you dwell too long on any of its scenes and in the end is rather light-hearted. Somehow I had only remembered the scenes with Scratch but he is only briefly in the movie.

The apocalypse goblin went to the combination Ren faire and Christmas market to meet a friend. One of the Ren faire people came up and commented on my "muzzle" and gave me an individually wrapped Lebkuchen.
Had a good time with warm juice and a lovely friend.

I took the kids and one of their friends to an indoor trampoline park. It is in an old warehouse or stable... CO2 was at ~1600ppm (room was full) but would dip any time someone would open the door.... Theoretically they could have great ventilation (windows up high on each end of the space but only one side was open...)
I left them a note on a little card that explains how CO2 impacts your wellbeing and performance. I was given a stack as a present from @keinhoernchen

Heute im Supermarkt extra die Selbstbedienugnskassen gewählt weil da schon eine Frau mit FFP2 war. Habe die Kasse neben ihr gewählt und als wir beide so langsam fertig wurden hab ich mich zu ihr rüber gelehnt und gesagt "Wie schön, dass sie auch eine gute Maske tragen." "Ja, so wichtig!" hat sie geantwortet.

Es ist auch wichtig, dass wir uns gegenseitig anerkennen.

Wie schön, dass Du noch Maske trägst.

Wir sind auf der Liste für den Booster beim Kinderarzt. Die müssen wie immer erst genug Impflinge zusammenkriegen.

Wer im Raum NÜ-FÜ-ER sich und seine Kinder auch boostern lassen möchte, kriegt von mir die Adresse und Tel vom Kinderarzt.

I have worn my FFP2 outside with no-one around, but not for Covid reasons. If pre-2020 me had known that wearing a respirator would solve all my hayfever problems (hazel, birch, grasses) I would have been wearing one before Covid.

Kurze Erinnerung: auch wenn es wolkig oder bedeckt, ist braucht man im Moment Sonnenschutz.

I like the idea of several different shapes (and colors?)
Face shapes vary widely, so different shapes and sizes would be a good idea.

Some people will never wear a headstrap respirator (although they usually seal better) so a mix of earloops and headstraps might be good.

yup. When I was asked "Would you feel more comfortable if I also wore a mask?" (not in a medical setting) I answered "No. Thanks", because I am too polite to say "If you're not masking for yourself, don't bother on my behalf; my respirator protects me just fine, as do the windows I opened."

I don't know about you, but my family has always been a little uneasy when going through immigration at any US airport. I once made my mother really nervous when I spoke to her in Spanish while the agent was looking at our German passports (pre-9/11).
The fact that they are giving white long-term residents with green cards a bad time means I will not be visiting the US any time soon.
