yup. When I was asked "Would you feel more comfortable if I also wore a mask?" (not in a medical setting) I answered "No. Thanks", because I am too polite to say "If you're not masking for yourself, don't bother on my behalf; my respirator protects me just fine, as do the windows I opened."

I don't know about you, but my family has always been a little uneasy when going through immigration at any US airport. I once made my mother really nervous when I spoke to her in Spanish while the agent was looking at our German passports (pre-9/11).
The fact that they are giving white long-term residents with green cards a bad time means I will not be visiting the US any time soon.

ich nehme mal an, dass sich da nicht sooooo viel geändert haben wird.

Was sich vielleicht geändert hat ist die Einstellung derjenigen, die wirklich Geld mit diesen Sportveranstaltungen verdienen.

- because the viral load in waste water is alarming
- because being sick is not fun
- because every infection avoided and every transmission interrupted is worth it

We wear the best mask we have to protect those who cannot mask (or mask well) because they are too unwell or because they are too young.

Dass er am Ende jeder Folge sagt man solle den Fernseher ausschalten finde ich heute als Erwachsene bemerkenswert. Der Nachfolger, Fritz Fuchs, (der auch schon alt ist) sagt das ja nicht mehr.

Ich habe als Kind kein Bibi Bloxberg und kein Benjamin Blümchen gehört oder gelesen. Als jemand meinen Kindern aber alte Benjamin Blümchen Folgen schenkte und es in der Titelmelodie hieß "Benjamin liebt alle Leute; ja sogar die Polizei" habe ich mich doch mal hingesetzt und zugehört. Benjamin Blümchen hat eine ganze Straßenkreuzung blockiert.
