@DMX there are very few things more annoying than having to teach a boomer lib about how the US fomented (fill in the blank South Am/Central Am fascist Coup) which happened during their lifetime, and long before mine.

But you have to when you tell them things like "The US is the world's biggest exporter of fascism, what do you mean its a positive force for good" because they start to froth at the mouth.

Tech is politics. Every thing about tech is political. We all need to see it, even if you don't understand it.

We have to be challenged and learn from things we do not understand every day. We have to engage in active ideological struggle (read learning) every day.

When Alyssa Azar is on here talking about how the IOF is weaponizing the most used chat app in the world, and regular text messages and phone calls to wage a psychological terror campaign against Arab civilians I'm sure its clear how Tech is Politics then,

But also, when people are talking about how C/C++ Devs and Rusr Devs are fighting over the need for memory safe code that is also politics, I don't code (yet) and sometimes don't know what they're on about, but then I search and learn...

Cuz I have to, this shit will determine how vulnerable the damn tech will be in the short/medium term future. That matters for a bunch of reasons.

Tech posting is critically needed, and we need to do more to help people understand the info being communicated, but also we need to not feel animosity toward and/or discount the importance of seeing information/conversation we don't understand.

Not a deal with "enlightened" conservatives, the never existed, they were able to convince conservatives, and the colonizer writ large that genocide by assimilation would be more comfortable for them, when they haven't been able to deliver 3/4

I don't think its merely a rivalry, I think the relationship of liberals as assimilationists and conservatives as elinationists represents a dialectical identity, a unity of opposites among the colonizer class.

For this to be correct do you hold that conservatives represent a threat to captialism? That the assimilated "good ones" will stand with liberals against the threat conservatives pose to capitalism?

That liberals don't find an alliegance with conservatives sufficient to combat "the spectre of socialism"?

@AnthonyJK @julieofthespirits @AnarchoNinaAnalyzes I don't disagree with your framing of how the liberal moves, I think you have to place more emphasis on the material (economic) basis of this positioning to fully grasp how liberalism is fundamentally in unity with conservatism despite their best wailing to the contrary in maintaining "control" as @AnarchoNinaAnalyzes described it in the way colonized peoples (are allowed to) live (to them, us living means we have to serve our colonizers)
