When pressured from the left and heads roll it appeases via more robust social safety nets, which largely serve the purpose of ameliorating misery, and liberalism compelled capital in the imperial core countries 1/

@julieofthespirits when it no longer feels the pressure that is has to improve conditions or fall from socialist powers, liberalism has to survive its conservative, eliminationist counterpart taking control, that is - the people who they agree with in their end goal (colonial domination & genocide) but who would do so via means that would likely upend the system completely - and risk anticolonial (necessarily socialist if its to pose any actual threat) revolution. 4/5

Totally agree, except for the "liberals use 'welfare' and integration to break up Black families" part.
Social welfare is already punitive & woefully insufficient enough to tear any family apart; & the Right also stresses "family" unity through ultra-strict Calvinist discipline & denial of sufficient aid unredeemed by strict Social Darwinist suffering in order to maintain both White Supremacy and force Blacks into the MIC/slave labor force.

Bourgie Liberals use "cultural/racial diversity" as a wedge against their more austere White/Christian Nationalist Conservative rivals within the capitalist system; their mission is to incorporate more "liberal" and "enlightened" folk into the consumption/production system through the promise of upward mobility. The hope is that those thusly rewards pay them back by defending the overall capitalist system....

That's not so much a "liberal" vs. "conservative" rivalry thing; that's more of the compromise that liberals made with the more "enlightened" conservatives to overcome right-wing opposition to even a highly restricted and punitive welfare state. It was the attempts by more committed liberals of the 1970's to expand "welfare" to make it less punitive and regressive that brought on the backlash of the Right in the 1980's and the retrenchment...

It's not so much that conservatism is a threat to capitalism. In no way am I arguing that.
It's more like the neoliberal concept of capital, while sharing the same final concepts and goals of power and privilege, come at those goals through slightly different approaches and political bases.
Liberals rely mostly on appeals to "diversity" and " openness" to multicultural coexistence for assimilating historic out groups into the system.

Now, there is a segment of the Right that seeks to tamper down the aggressiveness of their more "passionate" moement conservatives for the sake of stability and the fear that overaggressiveness would enhance a Left backlash. Those are the "anti-Trump" conservatives now linking up with the DLC Democrats and the "loyalist progressives" behind Copmala in order to "save democracy" from both Hamas/Putin/Trumpster, and Stein/Sanders/Sarandon.
