It's fascinating to see folks moving from twitter to bsky explicitly motivated by "no algorithm to please" and I'm like no that's exactly one of the selling points of bsky what are you talking about?
@yaxu I know that Bitwig has some method for having CV both in and out in the software but I don't know how they actually generally manage it in terms of hardware.
Oh sure let's stop using every word that has ever been used by a nazi, I'm sure capitulating to the fash like that will never come with any negative consequences
Richard Stallman is a repulsive human being and I honestly don't understand why the FSF & community has enabled him for so long. (I recognise the excellent work of several in the community who have stood up to him but he seems to be very difficult to dislodge, and that's because he still has enablers.)

Remember our favorite manel saving "humanity" from the existential risks of magical "artificial general intelligence"? This nobel nominated cryptobro gave the Future of Life Institute, hosts of such manels, $665M.
@danmcquillan I've been saying for a while now that any testing regime that could be broken by ChatGPT could already have been broken by "hiring someone to do the work" before, so wasn't a good testing regime anyway.

@Shrigglepuss For philosophy, I've enjoyed episodes both of Revolutionary Left Radio (e.g. their Dialectics Deep Dive series) and What's Left of Philosophy.
This Machine Kills does a lot of good stuff IMO, but is probably too jokey (and US-centric) a lot of the time though when they hit they hit hard.
@Shrigglepuss You might like The Dig, which is admittedly US-centric, bit they do venture beyond that occasionally. Their recent series ('Thawra') on Arab revolutionary politics in the 20th century was phenomenal for example.
