    @twrling The higher obligation would be to uphold the constitution. That has nothing to do with "protecting the lower courts." Whatever that even means.

    @icedquinn It was at one time entirely reasonable to expect that staying at the same company for most of your career would lead to you getting rewarded with a decent retirement before your body was only good at being awake and processing food.
    This arrangement worked very well for both parties while it existed. Now as only a memory, it is dragging a lot of people into the pit.

    @icedquinn Yeah. They do seem to just throw products over the wall and then never touch them after initial release. Which is a shame. They have good ideas, but you have to stick with those kinds of projects for them to be worth anything.

    The real shame is an open source watch would be really cool. But I have enough things to keep charged. :02_shrug:

    @nyanide Matrix works great as a private platform for a few friends. I have a non-federated server that works well for that purpose. Just don't use SQLite for the DB.
    Not to say it doesn't work well in a larger group, I just don't have experience with that.
