@Fragglemuppet Troy Doherty. He's one of the singers in Epic the Musical, which we like a lot.
@Fragglemuppet Pretty good! Taking my daughter to a concert tonight.
@thomasfuchs I don't think it's talked about enough that a lot of those people are 'locked in'. I know at least 2 people that are just counting the days until their contracts are done, their shares are vested, and they actually get what they signed up for. Both of them have families. One of them has large medical bills.
I think the exodus will be slow instead of sudden. But it will come over time.
@Fragglemuppet What can I do to help?
@danmccullough Bear wife: I've seen reports that feeders are being taken down. Time to get a last snack.
Bear husband: OK, we'll do it on Monday.
Bear wife: That's EXACTLY what you said last year. And when did the feeder get taken down?
Bear husband: Errr... Monday?
Bear wife: No, it was Sunday. We barely had time to get our snack.
Bear husband: OK fine, I'll go on Saturday.
Bear wife: Just don't be late.
@Fragglemuppet I can't find a report button anywhere in the audible app.
Happy caturday from Peep, who's enjoying some sunlight with the birds.
@wulfric I'm loving it, but I guess I don't pay attention to current events.
@Fragglemuppet It's real! For example, there are an infinite number of numbers! You can always add 1 to whatever number, going on forever, and you will never reach a number that you cannot add another one to.
#Veiltober day 26: Teia
I didn't have much time today, so this one is all about the curls.
@Fragglemuppet looks like it's a disk cleaner type app.
Honestly, they all look like scams to me, even if it says it's open source. I don't buy the claims that they speed up this application or that. Windows 11 already has a lot of tools built in to manage disk space.
Installing one of these apps, you're just giving permission to an app to do a lot of things you probably don't need, and you'll just have another program running in the background. And who knows what they do with your data.
@Fragglemuppet no, just the local network, assuming that both computers are connected to the same wifi. in file explorer you can set the folders you want to copy as shared, then just access them directly from your new computer, and copy the files to a folder there.
@Fragglemuppet there should be some guides online to help, but I think all you have to do is right click the folder and go to the network or sharing settings.
It should make the process of copying files much quicker and easier for you.
@Fragglemuppet is there any reason you're not just copying files over the network?
Hey everyone, my wife is looking to join Mastodon, and I'm looking for server recommendations!
She is:
A mom who homeschools our kids, enjoys growing a vegetable garden, enjoys her pet dog and pet chickens & turkeys, loves playing Stardew Valley and Dreamlight Valley and the Civ games. She sometimes writes fiction. She loves vegetarian cooking, and watches a lot of cooking competition shows.
Edit: Lives in Iowa. Plays TTRPGs.
@Fragglemuppet It's been probably 5 years since we got our last one, but we've liked the HP all in one computers. We've had several over the years.
A tower would probably be cheaper.
It really comes down to what you want to do with it as far as what kind you get. My main advice would be to get as big of a primary SSD as you can afford, and as much RAM as you can afford. Those two things will make a big difference in the long run.
Out of ignorance and curiosity: Do you even need a monitor?
@Fragglemuppet someone just shared this site they created: https://stickertop.art/main/
It's just pictures of laptops with stickers on them.
My daughter and I are enjoying making pies. I think we'll make it a regular thing.
TL/DR I post about our pet chickens & turkeys, the NWSL, and whatever game I happen to be playing.I grew up all over, spending time in Indonesia, Egypt, Ukraine, and Germany, before settling in the US , where I've spent time living in Florida and California before moving to Iowa. Our family lives in a farmhouse with a large number of pets, including cats, dog, chickens, turkeys, and a tortoise.Big fan of women's soccer, especially the NWSL.I love playing pickleball.
