well i'm taking a swing at rebasing from #bazzite to #bluefin on the stinkpad after that last comment. we'll see how it goes. will be nice to have bluefin for dev stuff again. using bazzite to sling code is a little clunky.

going to see if i can use my desktop monitors and keyboard on the laptop by way of gnome rdp or maybe i'll do sunshine/moonshine. barrier, vnc, or a kvm each have their own kinds of friction.

i am having an absolute hell of a time trying to get some #python work done on #bazzite. i know it's intended for gaming and not development but it makes me miss #bluefin.

i'll be happier tonight when i fire up #steam instead!

I am looking for remote #work in #devops, backend #development, #infosec, #linux things, etc. I'm capable of a lot of different roles. I'd just like to do work that feeds my family and makes a difference in the world. Contract or full time are both fine. I speak both English and conversational Portuguese (BR).

@kelvin0mql in my 20+ odd years on the air, i've never seen/heard '88' being used. what watering holes are you monitoring? is captain dave back on the air?

@vees @kelvin0mql @zondance that's bizarre. were they meaning to be nazis or is there another interpretation of it i'm unaware of? about the most offensive thing i've heard on the air (at least by licensed hams) has been the gross tradition of "YL" and "XYL".

last cup of #coffee before we head out for the quintet. I've got a fair amount of nerves. kind of a mix of anxiety and anticipation. It's been a year since I've competed. this will be different, though. It's just for fun (though, I guess they all should be).
