Oh, my goodness — Kamala went to a Penzeys. How perfect! Bill must be thrilled.

Mike Masnick writing about “Robert Reich’s latest angry screed … about Elon Musk“:
“Reich … suggests ‘six ways to rein in Musk.’ The first two are pretty straightforward versions of boycotting his businesses like ExTwitter and Tesla. And, sure, yeah, those are perfectly fine ideas, but as I write this, I see Reich himself has posted ten times to ExTwitter himself in the past 24 hours.
“Be the change you want to see in the world, Robert.”
Hurray for James Gaddis:
“Florida’s department of environmental protection has fired a whistleblower who exposed and sank governor Ron DeSantis’s secretive plan to pave over environmentally sensitive state parks and build lucrative hotels, golf courses and pickleball courts.”
“Speaking with the Tampa Bay Times on Monday, Gaddis said preservation of the state parks was more important to him than his position.”

Sunflower Sunday isn't a thing on Mastodon, but here are some sunflowers anyway. #Bloomscrolling #flowers
@tchambers @heidilifeldman OK, I just made one more donation in time for the month-end cutoff.
Flowers for today: zinnias!

The Capital Times in Madison, Wisconsin writes an enthusiastic endorsement of Harris-Walz
https://captimes.com/opinion/editorials/editorial-our-endorsement-kamala-harris-for-president/article_9639498e-5e4a-11ef-bc4a-f3cdea54fa8b.html
“The 2024 election is not a close call. … We know that some may think it is early for a newspaper to make an endorsement in the fall campaign.
“We disagree. We believe that this is precisely the time for Wisconsinites to throw their support to Kamala Harris for president and Tim Walz for vice president.”
My DNC-watching approach has been to read everyone's posts here and then go back and watch selected portions, since the video of the whole thing is online.
Sounds like from tonight, I'll want to watch Pete and the musical performances. And of course Walz, too.
As someone who carries an EpiPen (but has never had to use it) due to an anaphylactic reaction to some unidentified food, I was super interested to read this news of a nasal spray alternative which just got approved.

OK, I love this. Just keep hitting refresh: https://tim-walz-fixed-your-bicycle.glitch.me
A break from dahlias: Let's look at some cosmos! #Bloomscrolling #flowers
I'm glad @leapingwoman alerted me to the sunflowers that grow right next to the post office in El Granada, California. #flowers #Bloomscrolling
Today's #Bloomscrolling: A bouquet for sale at Sage Bakehouse — zinnias and more.
And the back of the shirt is great, too!
I'm underwhelmed with the official Harris merch, but I did buy this T-shirt, thanks to @DrVeronikaCH who pointed me to it — and @jodystillwrites who created the store, with a number of great shirts.

Wow, Southwest Airlines is moving to assigned seats (and adding premium seating).
Being Covid-cautious, I don't fly much at all any more — and various problems at Southwest in recent years meant I wasn't inclined to fly with them anymore, anyway. But I may be one of the few people who liked their open seating.
@kingrat What a great tote!
We can always use more flowers in our timelines, right? #Bloomscrolling #flowers
Today perhaps calls for a flower to celebrate hope. My iPhone tells me this is a Corncockle. #Bloomscrolling #flowers
Quoting @rodhilton but adding a #uspol tag for those filtering out such news:
"This November, you have the power to make Elon Musk waste 180 million dollars."
