Amazing foster Lulu has gone back to the shelter! Despite trying to die on me early on, she's been doing really well for over a month now and it's time to let her find her family.

I need someone to give me a medal because I listened to a table of people talk about how amazing and cute the video of "that place where they let the dogs choose their owners" and I did NOT turn around and scream "THAT FUCKING VIDEO IS AI! DOGS DON'T ACT LIKE THAT!" at a group of total strangers.

So... yeah. I deserve a medal. Or maybe some chocolate?

Bathroom has been disinfected in preparation for housing these little maggot muffins. (No more maggots, just some diarrhea, which is how they ended up with maggots in the first place.) Picking them up tomorrow!

Lulu is amazing! You can still see some hind end weakness, but she has so much more energy.

Mister and his Resting Astonished Face are returning to the shelter tomorrow for surgery and adoption. Such a sweet and gorgeous kitten!

Last night I was pessimistic about Lulu's chances — she'd declined over 12 hours, to the point where she couldn't stand. If it hadn't been Sunday night, I probably would have called it.

Today she is walking again and eating on her own and using the litter box. Was it her meds finally kicking in? The B vitamins I gave her last night?

Whatever it was, I hope it continues.

Can't get a good picture, but this deserves an update anyhow. Gnocchi has become a lap cat. Sometimes she is a deep tissue masseuse for my thigh. Either way she purrs.

I was a little late showing up to feed Gill and I will treasure this picture of her forever.

Sent the shelter more pictures of Gnocchi and some more information on what makes her overstimulated and what I do to safely bring her energy back down. (Gnocchi is a delight! But she is not a Starter Cat ™️. Or I guess she could be, but there will be a steep learning curve.)

Then I got an invitation to come in on Sundays to help socialize cats at the shelter. 😂

We may disagree about everything else, but JFC we are all united in our hatred for Apple's Liquid Glass.

Gnocchi is still enjoying her attitudes in my office, but now we have Mister vacationing in the spare bedroom (and on the kitten-cam). He's kinda wobbly, hence the lack of furniture in the room, but he seems to be improving over time, so it's probably not caused by cerebellar hypoplasia.

In any case, he's a cutie!
