@TechConnectify@ajn142 I think he is saying that the energy content of the gas is variable and the gas utility adjusts the billing based on that variability, so you pay more for a given CCF if it is richer, and less if it is thinner. I don’t think I have seen that/
@botvolution Right now, I'm thinking "Well, I really didn't change anything. It's all just formatting, style, and logging that I changed as I was just trying to see where it was going wrong." But I *must* have changed something that counted. At this point, I'm really leaning towards wrong parameters being passed.
@botvolution It's now working. I have no idea what it was. I have the working code, and need to go line by line to figure out what may have made it start working. I was thinking it may not have been code problem at all, but related to the parameters I was passing to the stored procedure (like it was returning zero records, and I didn't realize it), but they *look* good to me. I've changed so many things today, I'm not sure really what it was.
@joeo10 that “hard braking” definition thing has always bothered me. Seems as if when you know you’re being tracked, it would encourage red-light running. They can tell if you’re hard braking, but not running lights.
I tried one of the apps a while back (on my own, not linked to insurance provider), it frequently identified hard braking, and I could not stop gently enough to please it in regular driving.
@mjgardner@newsmast Interesting as I ended up just blocking the domain as a user because it seemed like it was just a bunch of bots re-tooting stuff just because of hashtags. I was thinking, "Man, I don't need that." I'll just subscribe to hashtags if that's what I want.
I have an old program I wrote in .NET that pulls data from an old #SQLServer database, exports it to an Excel file then uploads it to a partner via SFTP. I'm trying to re-write it in #python so it is a bit more automated. One step is for it to run a stored procedure, and while the stored procedure does seem to run (can see it in SQL Server Profiler), it doesn't generate the temporary table that later steps require. https://cseiler.freeshell.org/PublicPostGetData.html 1/2
News just talked about gasoline prices dropping about 80cents a gallon since September and that people are hitting the roads because of cheap gas prices. Not sure about where you are, but a little over a week ago we were looking at $2.29 a gallon for reg unl. It has spiked up to $2.79 this week. That’s €0.67 per liter up from €0.55. Doesn’t sound as bad in metric. 🤷♂️
@joeo10@SDF I got the email in late October, so it did make it to some of us. It seems we are experiencing issues right now. Is that an early start for preliminary work or is this something unexpected.
