@joeo10 yes, I know Substack is problematic. I follow another podcast or who just moved there, abandoning Patreon. I had to send them a link to an old Atlantic article about their Nazi problem. They had no idea.
It seems that one of the key problems for many users is not the lack of online play, but it’s DRM that requires connectivity in order to play games already purchased and downloaded. That would be very frustrating. I get it in some ways. But you’d think the system would be somewhat resilient to outages. Like only have to check in periodically or something like that.

With talk of Linux being blocked by FB, when I was on FB, my links—any link—to sdf.org domain were almost instantly labeled “Malicious site” or “Cyber security threat.” I tried to fight it by challenging it, but never got a response. Everything at *.sdf.org was seemingly blocked from the get-go. Mastodon, Lemmy, and tilde sites. I’m not sure there’s anything on Facebook’s part that targeted a small site like SDF, but I think it could’ve even been someone who hosted something malicious on…

I know a guy who says __ as “dunder” when speaking abt Python. Since I am largely self-taught from books and reading, I don’t know what terms people use until I come across them.
Is “-v” said “fnv” among #NodeJS folks, is “FN” a way of saying “dash”? is it short for function or something like that? Or is it just a quirk of him and this video? Thx
