Notices by David Schmidt (individual8@mastodon.social)

@dansup My photos have geo data embedded in the EXIF data and mostly I publish via API. Did I get you right saying that location has to be set manually even if the uploaded photo had location information?

@Gargron I suggested an improvement regarding the discovery of collections recently: https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/39879

@dansup I never get notifications from Pixelfed with the official app from Google Play Store. Sth. not working, the app itself quite buggy.

@Mastodon If not already in place, I'd suggest a required minimum version to be installed for a #FeaturedServer.

@dansup Thx in advance. I have an automated account (@dvidschmdt) that posts every few days and with such an account you can easily oversee that tokens expire.

@dansup Do they need an expiration date and if yes, would it be possible to extend it in the interface instead the need to create a new one?

@Gargron Quite limited still since it's currently only on mastodon.social. Can't wait to see it roll out more widely.

@Mastodon I really admire the Mastodon team’s commitment to transparency. Their official updates are consistently professional and reflect a team that is deeply passionate about their decision-making process.

@Gargron Happy birthday! 🥳🥂

Welcome home, Plushtodon. :mastodon:

@Gargron I truly appreciate all the work you put into initiating this effort. Mastodon will undoubtedly evolve into the platform we all hope for, and you will be a key figure in its development.

@MastodonEngineering How do I quote posts in Android? Cannot find the functionality. Thought long-pressing the boost button would be the way to go.

@MastodonEngineering Works for me. Both on Mastodon.social and the API. The latter I'm syncing my content to my website with.

@Gargron I guess an update for the official Android app is in the works then.

@dansup Can't wait for the new Pixelfed Web. 🥳

@Gargron Didn't know about #Photocrowd so far. Entered two of mine in the New Joiners contests.

@MastodonEngineering Are these features already rolled out on mastodon.social?

@Gargron Great photo. Nice colors.

@Gargron I never saw it, because my screen is too big (and therefore button not needed, I assume). 😆
