#Pachli 2.10.0 is rolling out now, with new conversation account filters to deal with #harassment.
Just like notification filters you can control what happens when accounts start a conversation with you.
No longer want to see DMs from accounts you don't follow? You can hide them, or put them behind a warning. Ditto for new accounts that might only have been created to harass you.
#Pachli 2.9.2 is now available. This release includes an overhaul of the Tamil translation thanks to a new contributor, and small improvements and fixes while I work on some larger changes that are stabilising in Pachli Current. More details at https://pachli.app/pachli/2025/01/30/2.9.2-release.html.
Thanks to தமிழ்நேரம், @kallekn, Aindriú Mac Giolla Eoin, Sunniva Løvstad, Juan M Sevilla, jens person, and @vform for their contributions to this release, and apologies to anyone I've missed.
@grunfink@nowster@justine The Mastodon docs are a bit ambiguous about this. Arguably, if the link header is missing a client could assume it could behave as though it did exist, with the IDs of the first and last items in the returned page.
That might be what snac is doing. For interoperability purposes it's probably better to always return the link header.
I've filed one of them at https://codeberg.org/grunfink/snac2/issues/241 (this also found a Pachli bug where errors during login weren't showing the underlying login error; I've fixed that now, thanks).
@nowster@justine That's odd. Would you mind creating a test account on your server for me and sending the credentials to team@pachli.app. Then I can diagnose this further.
This screenshot shows how it works for notifications.
I've got the "Show a warning for accounts created in last 30 days" option turned on (this could also be set to "Hide"), so some of the notifications are filtered.
@lauteshirn "Dark" is a dark grey, consistent with Android's normal difference between a light and a dark theme.
"Black" uses pure black (RGB #000) for the background. Some people think that may be more power efficient for AMOLED screens. Some searching shows lots of arguing back and forth about that online, I have no idea whether it has a benefit or not.
Hello, world! #Pachli is your new favourite Mastodon client for Android, with features including:
- "Load more" no more, posts load as you scroll - As many tabs as you want for your content - See trending posts, links, and hashtags - Set the UI from a range of accessible fonts
Pachli is open source, with a cooperative governance model. Learn more at https://pachli.app.
A couple of changes I'm planning on making before final release:
1. Allow searches without entering any text
2. (possibly) Arrange the UI in 3 rows with scrolling (similar to GMail search, see screenshot). This saves some screen space, but might require a horizontal scroll for some searches
