This is a good idea and tbh ppl not getting tested is one of the hangups I have w being more active in my spicy life. I test enough to know I am safe, but ppl get weird abt it if I ask them if they do.

TBH except for job hunts, I don't rly use my phone as a phone. I use Signal a lot, masto, Internet, and stream music. I dunno how well I would do w super techie stuffs tho.

I do at least use Graphene tho?

@lispi314 I wander a lot so maps, but I use uhm CoMaps? And sms only for work. Ppl know I don't text my phone. I dunno what a SIP trunk is but TBH all I rly need is data. So I prob only barely need actual phone things.

To be rly fking crystal, here's my "lived experience" w AI:

- Ruined search engines by fking up the results and stealing content for "summaries"

- Ruined news by creating inaccurate slop.

- Ruined finding indie artists on Etsy etc by inundating the sites with trash AI same same art that has like, zero uniqueness

- Exploited (stole) the original works of millions of ppl and got away with it BC billionaire corpos and bribes

- Ruined the job search process by de-ppling candidates through virtual "AI interviews" versus you know, taking the time to speak to ppl.

- Ruined support by introducing chatbot trash that is neither helpful nor time saving for ppl.

So yeah. Fuck AI, fuck corpos who use it to cheap out of ppling, and fuck the weird AI worship infecting ppl's brains.

It's a stupid fking tech cult, no better than Scientology. Except at least Scientology tries to manipulate u with hot orientation coaches. Only hotness coming out of AI is the planet as they destroy it.

How much more do ppl need to realize these aren't one-offs, we are at WAR. And I'm picking on Meta but Google, Microsoft, Apple... they're all the same.

I do not consent. And where the laws protect thier abuses, I do not consent to those either.

Don't write to your politicians. Expose their complicity and complacency. They're not your allies and they're not your friends, nor are the parties that prop them up.

You know what, seriously, I'm done with the tech community rn.

Tech community be like:

"Oh you want to drive a pretty car? Well first you need to go to engineering school to learn how to design engines, we provide the vehicular frame but you have to build your own engine. Oh but painting your car is easy, you just have to know how to create paint from scratch. No we don't just use standard vehicle paint, we created a special type and only it stick to our car. Oh and don't forget that you have to design seats too, that's an entirely different tutorial, written by Sumerian monks! It's 80 percent out of date but you'll be fine.

Ugh. Sorry. But its not only AI killing the Internet, its this nonsense.
