in advance of international women's day, please keep in mind that nonbinary people are not "women lite" and shouldn't be grouped with women for this purpose!!! there are nonbinary women and nonbinary femmes, and there are huge entire swaths of people that aren't either one. you can use a container term like "marginalized genders" if you want.

The funny thing about IQ is that everyone would correctly identify as bullshit a study that claimed to measure someone's vocal hesitation words (uh and um and even like sometimes) as their intelligence. It's no different. It's the phrenology of cultural test taking skills. (Editing to add specifically that it is super racist and always has been, just like BMI.)

BMI and IQ are both sometimes explained as "not good metrics, but the only baseline we have and therefore useful." Anyone who says this to you is full of shit. Measuring an arbitrary thing with no evidence-based meaning, then comparing it to another of the same measure, still means nothing. How many times did you look to the left today? How many times did you touch something with your pinky fingers? Who the fuck cares?

@HauntedOwlbear I'm using the unlimited one, also for work, and the experience is so much better than Google has been for the last two to five years at least. I also wish they'd turn off any AI stuff. I just want to search what is actually on the page without any suggestions, ahaha.

It's absurd that your only report option on here is to your own instance admin -- in my case two lovely people who watch like 60 of us and have nothing to do with what I'm reporting
