If you’ve never been estranged from family or friends, please don’t advise others’ on how to cut off relationships. It’s very likely these relationships were manipulative/controlling and sometimes people still have to depend on them because of financial/physical reasons. The best you can do is be there for them and show them kindness and gentleness. Most of us don’t need a knight in shining armor; we just want you to hold our hands while we rescue ourselves #trauma #relationship

Note to younger self and others: if someone dismisses your need to rest, they are not your friend (or family). Gently take yourself out of their orbit 💕
