I talked to an old friend last night, and was greatly heartened to hear that she's resumed wearing masks, because she doesn't want to get sick and infect her elderly parents.

I was even happier to hear her say that she only wears n95 masks, because she'd heard that surgical type masks don't protect very well!

It's so rare to hear that from people I know offline, that I wanted to share it!

@Infoseepage That's pretty much what the white stealthmask is/was. They took their black industrial mask and changed he color to white, and yeah, the pink filters are a legal requirement in the US, which is why I mentioned the EU versions being white. I actually had an EU GVS for a while ( I used it up), and the white ffp3 fitler is a lot less in your face than the pink p100 (also MUCH easier to breathe in)

@Infoseepage i didn't consider rain on the pancake filters, because I live on a semi arid island that has months where it doesn't' rain, and can usually avoid going out on the days it does rain. I had a mutual on another social media platform from Seattle, who was also concerned about rain resistant filter housings, so that makes sense.

By the way, you might find it useful to know that, unlike NIOSH certified filters (which are bright pink) the European CE rated versins of filters are white (FFP3 is closer to n99 than p100 if that matters, though)

@Infoseepage stealthmask has a similar design of eye protected masks that you might look at. They are also valved, but it's another similar option

@HauntedOwlbear Apparently, the incoming administration intends to classify any reference to trans people in media as pornography, and to ban all pornography, because that's the kind of country America wants to be now.

A reminder that if you don't feel like you would be safe at a Thanksgiving gathering you've been invited to, it's okay not to go. Keeping yourself and/or your loved ones safe is the moral and ethical choice, and you shouldn't feel guilty about making it

@DrPsyBuffy I can imagine, and, sadly, it's not just books, but other (probably all) media as well. I've read about some of their plans for video games, since that's my industry, and they are... not great.

I just coined a new term for people who are still making an effort to avoid getting and spreading covid. "Covid Rational." I think that I'll be using it from now on.

I'd love to know a couple things you particularly liked if you don't' mind? Release week is stressful and it makes me happy to hear what people liked.

A steam curator named "Woke Ccontent Detector" said the following about our game Kitsune Tails:

"Contains overtly pro-LGBT+ messaging. Features multiple lesbian characters, including the player character. Features lesbian romance."

It's great when a person really understands what we're going for and I thought it was a lovely review and wish more people could read it, even if they did not recommend the game! 😉
