@nemesis@the.asbestos.cafe @mja@comp.lain.la personally i have little stake in interpersonal drama but i do feel obligated to call out what i believe to be antisemetic. i'm interested in defending the thoughts and ideas of people im mutuals with, or even just people i follow and like seeing. im just more concerned in the human side of it, why feels the way they do. so i'm not calling it out for ideological reasons but because saying antisemetic things and hurting your friends or their friends or people they follow or whatever is just worse off for you. this side is fedi is already excluded from everywhere and seen as disposible and unwanted, i think a lot of people here would benefit greatly from extending a bit of empathy to each other.

tbf shit like this is absolutely antisemetic and too far for the average person. and its not even true so its incredibly stupid and makes you look bad. ive been down these rabbitholes before and tbh when i was this brainbroken some of my closest friends were people like this so i get it. im not in touch with any of them anymore.

@mja@comp.lain.la it doesnt matter if you or they say theyre not antisemetic when theyre saying shit like this. and this is what is being referenced by the person who saw these posts and posted angrily about it. theres no way you can post about "noticing demographics of western rulers" without coming off as antisemetic no matter what the intention was..

@nemesis@the.asbestos.cafe @mja@comp.lain.la ive seen you post before and the apology is welcome but im not jewish so im not who you should be apologizing to. the majority of jews and leftists ive personally interacted with or seen on this platform pretty much universally agree with the ideas that jewish-american groups lobby and exploit the genocide committed against them to advance an ultimately evil, zionist, agenda. personally, i dont understanding whats the point of pointing out "jewish elites" when there are an even greater number of WASPs you can point to as the "elites". especially since the "jewish elites" narrative is abused to comical degrees by right winger weirdos to justify their actual real antisemitism.

at the end of the day none of this particularly matters to me but i think enough people have seen what that kind of rtheroic has resulted in for jews to be immediately hostile to it. ive been down those rabbitholes and i had my rancid right winger phase (im not calling you one to be clear) and ive definitely said some shit i shouldnt have but had my friends there for me. some of them defended me or told me not to worry ahout the noise but the ones i valued the most told me to knock that shit out.
