Q: What’s a 2D animated movie Didaney did in the 1970s about a family in an up-armored RV surviving in a post-apocalyptic urban wasteland and fighting giant mutant cockroaches with more than a hundred purebred dogs to protect them?
A: Dalmatian Alley

I am still thinking about how they lit the global telephone network on fire and rolled it down the hill. And now all the lobbyists dollars go to make sure it keeps rolling and burning. Even the cellular network is now a data network wearing the skin of mobile calling, it’s all packets.
The telephone lines are like railroads left to rot last century. The LLM bubble is this century’s streetcar conspiracy, what we need are some freeway revolts

@screwtape @synlogic when isn’t emacs the emacs of x for any value of x?
@synlogic @screwtape what’s the emacs? PlantUML is a bit too Borland
For a couple months now, Shazam has stopped recognizing songs. For years and years it was a parlor trick showing the possibilities of always-on magical services, and now it sits and spins on everything. I looked on the web to see if anyone else noticed this and got nothing but LLM generated numbered list slop
It’s the same with search engines and social media: the lights are on but nobody’s home.

@silverwizard “Children I will turn this meeting around if you do not stick to the agenda”
@silverwizard I like meetings that are timely, informative, and brief. I only get 35 hours a week to get shit done, tops, so anyone trying to block out two hours to honk their own horn in my face sure feels like an assault on my livelihood
@silverwizard I have done this several times as a fancy “Don’t waste my motherfucking time” especially when someone wants to block out seven people for one hour to decide whether to let me do two hours of work
Has nobody done this?
@silverwizard I gotta try this. Any recommendations for a starter absinthe?
@clacke it was real, and it was spectacular
