I guess then they do remain up to date, just not in the average arch user sense.

@mischievoustomato@rebased.taihou.website tbf, that happens with nvidia too. Updating gpu proprietary drivers on linux is akin to playing Russian roulette with your system. Sometimes nothing happens, other times, it fucks everything.

Being up to date is a spook. I doubt corps remain up to date on drivers. Desktop users are just beta testers.
