A guy at the Sho Madjozi show was pretending to use his phone to take videos and photos, making rectangle fingers and even pinching to “zoom in” at one point.
OK, that was me.
Seek out Sho Madjozi when she performs live in your neck of the woods. Wow!
I would have understood none of it, but I guess there was a momentous event with John Cena here in Toronto tonight, so in lieu of seeing that live, I’ll re-visit the time Sho Madjozi lost her mind when she met the namesake of her song about the wrestler. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oaoxPSIcyY
My personal foundational texts are Good Intentions: The Nine Unconscious Mistakes of Nice People by Duke Robinson, Making Common Sense of Japan by Steven Reed, and Remainder by Tom McCarthy.
Making Common Sense of Japan taught me a lot about how to see other countries (not just Japan), that everything is explainable by examining what a country or culture knows to be true, what they know works for them, rather than see others as inherently mysterious.
@skinnylatte Capsaicin drunk is the best drunk, but I dunno, if I ever do try the capsaicin patch, I’m gonna need to do it when I have somebody I trust stay by my side until I come down from it safely.
A reminder that The Statute of Westminster Appreciation Society (SOWAS) of Canada celebrates December 11th, the Anniversary of the Statute of Westminster in a month or so. The way to observe the anniversary is to read the statute and reflect on what it means to you, Canada, and the rest of the world. #StatuteOfWestminster#SOWAShttps://sowas.ca/
