@siege Interesting! Is there anything speculating as to the reason? My first thought is that's due to the patriarchy and the way it punishes female presenting folx, but I'm very interested in what they say.

In theory they are identical. In practice, I find they are different.
A strong agnostic may, from the OUTSIDE, be indistinguishable from an atheist in their actions.
I, on the other hand, don't REALLY think anything will happen to me if I sleep in a fairy ring on Midsummer's Eve... but I sure don't WANT to, either.

Okay, bad example, but I hope you see what I'm getting at?

Oh, no, Pascal's Wager makes no sense at all once the *possibility* of additional deities exists, as it does in agnosticism.
But that said, I would be *much* more wary of the Fae. The Judeo-Christian god is vengeful, yes, but the Fae are *CREATIVE*. :/
All it takes for fascism to continue is enough "respected" and "moderate" and "centrist" people to give fascists "the benefit of the doubt," even well after the fascists have stopped pretending to be anything but.
That implies only that FairPhone *believes* that Google is not and *would not* violate their ethical stances.
I'm going to assume that those folks who don't want Google's apps DIStrust Google more than they trust FairPhone.
@aral Ooof, that came across right as my reply posted. Sorry to dump on you there while you were being disappointed.
This... this *hit,* and Occam (along with what I know of sociology and economics and such) all track wit h this insight as well.
And the bigots are offended at even *that*.
Which kind of highlights exactly how effective trying to appease them would be.
There are people I love. There are people who love me. I fight for what I believe, protect those I could, and stand my ground against the encroaching darkness. I often (but not only) post things I've found around the web that I think are neat. My statements and posts here do not necessarily represent those of any organization or business I am part of, nor should they be taken as if they do.Neurospicy elder polyamorous weirdo.
