Glad I dumped the once great DayOne about a year ago. Everlog has been excellent.

@chris Yup! The original MBA was 11" and 13”. The 11" was prob the best portable laptop I've owned. I do love the m-series MBA, I just with it was a smaller form factor (11” or 12”)
@chris It’s been a weird road; since going back to the “max” phone; my iPad usage has dropped to 0. It can’t replace my laptop; so want something ultra portable. When at home, I plug into a big screen.
I know there's lots of love for the Neo (and the colors are fun!) -- Apple really needs to make an 11" version of the MBA. Please.
@chris don’t they just use bing under the hood?
@chris totally get that; but I also don’t trust Google to “do no evil”
@chris DDG didn’t seem any better than Google or
bing.
Not the latest “craze”, but for me, switching over to Kagi about 2 years ago was a refreshing change. Since it’s a -paid- service with a business plan: no ads, and they have revenue streams which hopefully will avoid enshittification.

Not seeing any reason to upgrade AirTags at this time…
@chris I’m right there with ya - my high school job was at Electronics Boutique — oof; that just reminder me of Software, Etc too..
Ah, the days when computers were “fun”.
@chris I used to love going to egghead software, babbages, etc.. as a kid…
Woke up; reading the news.
Feels like I need to watch Wag The Dog again.
@chris My bigger issue with Ivory is that it’s slowed development to the point where sub cost was not worth it..
@chris Oh interesting.. I’ve been generally ok w it; but again my usage is primarily on mobile.
@chris I just switched over to @MonaApp from Ivory; highly customizable, ability to view other instance local feeds and the home feed is much faster.
Made an “Ivory” theme for it if interested…

@chris Totally agree with you .. often I look at things like @kagihq small web project to find new things, or look at peoples blog roll if they have them.. discovery is a lot of work.
Is Apple Notes really the only notes app that has full text search via Spotlight on iOS? Tried bear; and a few others, and while most search titles, none seem to search the actual text.
@matt @andyn I’ve pretty much dumped my iPad Pro M4 for the mini. For me, it’s a better travel device (since I can’t replace the laptop with iPad), but gives me a slightly bigger screen for media consumption and can use the pencil for notes.
Also for reading, prefer the larger (than phone) screen.
iPad Mini is one of my favorite form factors from Apple.
