@binarydigit @adam NothingOS is a very nice way of dipping *out* of iOS with something that isn’t too over the top, or different, as well. It’s basically stock Android with some nice Nothing touches and styles.

@binarydigit @adam I picked up my 3a at launch in their little shop in Soho in London and it has proper scrappy upstart vibes and a fun little environment and team there.

@binarydigit @adam they defo have the old Apple underdog feel to them. Even just some of their YouTube videos they release from their CEO and team. They are light hearted but not cringy.

@tashen mastodons own documentation hasn’t referred to them as Toots for at least a year at this point. The official name is posts as you say.

@atomicpoet well that’s too bad for those that don’t read into what they’re getting into I guess. What can they do, just ‘develop it faster’? Development takes time, and I assume they want to do it correctly or there would be an even bigger issue. It’s already a decentralised platform with Bluesky being an access point to it, but expanding it takes time. Throwing your toys out of the pram won’t make it quicker.

@atomicpoet they’re working on it. They’re building in public, so maybe they should have held back, but it doesn’t happen overnight. At least give them a chance to build something before poo pooing all over it.
