    In general im not "against" piracy (you make a copy, nothing is truly lost)

    But as indie dev i hope people buy the thing. As much as i dont like it, a reward is great motivator to keep doing more. And i dont think anyone has to buy my stuff with just money (since its my hobby): Could trade it for fanart or anything like that!

    Just something for something, you know?

    Fuck no it isn't. I keep getting these fucking popups all the time on my new account. It's annoying.

    Every time I launch the discord website it does this. Always some new ad. And it always hides channel list or something actually useful.

    People do say programming languages are just tools and the community shouldnt matter.

    Pragmatic viewpoint i can agree with.

    But the truth is, we are social animals. Communities *will* affect my opinion on things they gather around, even if i dont want.

    And in programming, knowledge sharing and such is very important. When starting out, one may wish to join a community around The Thing.

    If that community makes me feel ashamed about being associated with it, i'll rather avoid it.

    The social aspect around tools is real thing, which is easy to dismiss but pragmatism can only do so much for our emotions and how we perceive things.

    Rust is probably not for me but i think its something i can play around with whenever i feel like i need its safety guards.

    The syntax confuses me and puts me off a bit, i guess its just matter of getting used to it. I just dont like declaring variable name before type, it "reads wrong" in my head. Then theres bazillion new symbols i have to use, like '_ (couldnt this have been like two letters or something???)

    But yeah, back to C for me, for now.

    Still need to test drive Hare and C3.
