@aks I'm not a tyrant that enslaves people with a yoke of unjust power (proprietary software), so the software I release is always free and authorizes copying - unauthorized copying of my software is impossible as a result.
It seems that a lot of proprietary software is just a bunch of MIT expat and BSD 3-clause software copied and pasted, with the license terms somehow infringed (but nothing happens, as such copyright holders signal their intention to surrender by selecting such pushover licenses), plus minimal changes to achieve x thing, but of course those developers claim that such software is "theirs", even though they didn't write most of it.

@aks >In general im not "against" piracy
I'm against piracy.
Theft and murder with the help of a boat is bad.
>you make a copy, nothing is truly lost
Nothing is lost at all, rather the opposite - everyone has one copy more.
>But as indie dev i hope people buy the thing.
I won't hesitate to pay a reasonable price as long as x thing is free and freedom respecting payment methods are available.

In general im not "against" piracy (you make a copy, nothing is truly lost)
But as indie dev i hope people buy the thing. As much as i dont like it, a reward is great motivator to keep doing more. And i dont think anyone has to buy my stuff with just money (since its my hobby): Could trade it for fanart or anything like that!
Just something for something, you know?
