In my world and in my fediverse horribly insulting others is not part of a “positive community” which can interact with each other in a decent way.

I am the person who asked those questions. And I really wanted to understand. I care about events like FOSDEM and don’t know much about Dorsey and the problem here.

@rysiek I don’t know the history well enough and never paid attention on the commercial background of the speakers.
what’s the problem? that there are speakers who run (big) companies? or that there are speakers who’s companies are also sponsors?

In the last years I only heard him speaking about thr importance of protocols and decentralized platforms. With criticism of Twitter etc.
Afaik he is also funding work on that (like for example initially bluesky and nostr)
To me he was one of the most active and outspoken CEOs in that regard.

we believe with the lightning network we now have an open protocol to do p2p transfers with open source money :)

@feld @raucao I had the GPG tools and also a support plan, but it seems to be not really active and also no longer properly works for me on recent MacOS versions.

Is there no decent, maintained email client for MacOS that support PGP?
