@georgetakei it’s so they can build a justification for their planned genocide. Never mind that most mass shooters are white males. They get to say, “only I can protect you, but first we have to get rid of…. “ (Jews, Asians, transgender… whatever marginalized group is the favored victim du jour).

@futurebird I don’t even understand why there’s gender divisions in chess given that there’s fundamentally no intellectual difference between men and women. Gender division in physical sports makes a little sense, though physical differences between athletes of different genders are smaller than we’re generally led to believe. (Which is why letting trans people compete as their chosen gender will only have a negligible difference on sport.)

@volkris @futurebird she’s not though. These “arguments” are not new. They’ve been used before, and history shows damn well what they imply. Let’s not make excuses for racists now. Giving them epistemological cover is pretty intellectually dishonest, which is what you’re accusing her of.

@mekkaokereke I honestly think that if the black teacher I was supposed to get for third grade hadn’t been replaced by an unqualified white male architect, my schooling would have been far less of a nightmare.

@mekkaokereke I had a friend who was falsely arrested and even though he got out of jail quickly, he still lost his job because of the reputational damage. Never mind that he didn’t commit the crime.
