This year a big game company reached out to me for cultural consulting but they consulted me for something small once and haven't heard anything after...I hope they don't feel like "We consulted one Japanese person so we're all good!" ugh.

P.P.S. Im not an “actor” but just recently did my first voice acting for a #theatre production and also doing a small role in a local production next week. What is the difference between toot written not in your default language that has “translate” button and one that doesn’t have the button? I don’t mind toots in foreign language (that’s what diversity is) but I’d like to know at least the gist of what they’re saying. Some toots have the translate button but some don’t…. Hmm

@iolarah I’ve seen a few. I find it annoying and suspect there are others who don’t like them ticking on and off on timeline…

Went back to the bird site and people are saying they didn’t understand Mastodon, signed up but deleted, it’s “awful” etc. The kicker is “it doesn’t have nearly the same ‘reach’” … it made me want to throw up ? I honestly don’t feel the need to convert them. I’m happy with people who are here now. Because the more people we get, we are sure to see people who want to game the system. Or “hack” it. Or “making it” on mastodon. Just stop.
