That said, I have found, and relish, safer spaces. And I have tried to work toward fostering those spaces. I was on #mastodon in 2018, but spent little time here, primarily because few of my peeps were here. But I did enjoy browsing, and I also did notice how white it was.

I wish that we had not spent so much investment in corporate social media so that these conversations could have happened earlier. They might have been able to have been addressed more fully with some spaciousness. 2/

鳥の方がフォロワー数やリーチが大きいから丼に来るのを躊躇してる人もいるみたいだけど私はもうそう言うの疲れたわ。本当に自分をサポートしてくれる人って言うのはフォロワーの数の数%で、そういう人たちはどこに行ってもサポートしてくれる。フォロワー数/リーチが多い=ポジティブじゃないって鳥で学んでしまったからなあ。それに、ここでは誰をフォローするかと言うのも吟味して、小さく行こうと思ってる。

Some people are reluctant to leave the bird site because of the followers/reach they have there but I’m personally tired of the “reach”. The people who truly love/support you is only a % of that, and they’ll support you no matter where you go. Also I’ll be super selective whom I follow here… I’ve learned my lesson that large network is not necessarily good.

ちょうど昨夜のブッククラブで「クリエイティビティ」と「比較」の関係について学んだところ。さまざまな研究の結果人間は比較をせずにはいられない生き物なので、常に自分に比較しないようリマインドすること、まさに日々practiceであると学んだ。あと、クリエイティブな人、そうでない人と言う区切りは存在せず、みんなクリエイティブなんだと。

@ocilam たしかに。例えばアメリカとカナダのミックスの人はAm I Canadian enough?って考えること少ないんじゃないですかね。大きく違う文化のミックス（チャイニーズアメリカンとか、黒人と白人・もしくはアジア/ラテン系とか）の人はありそうですよね。

@ocilam 私はよく日系カナダ人と接しますけど彼ら・彼女らの多くがAm I Japanese enough? って自問するんですよね。。。せつない。。。
