Today I had the privilege of interviewing Lekwungen elder for a project. Such a lovely person. She told me when she was a child they'd heat/dry harvested clams on a stick, then when they are dry they'd thread cedar strings through the clams and pack them flat on a tin suitcase to preserve them. I love hearing stories like that. #indigenous

My friend brought me Thomas Haas chocolate, some tea and Singapore style pork jerky and they are all so delicious.

今日は鳥で知り合ったお友達がバンクーバーから来ていたので色々沢山歩きながら話して、ココナツカレーをダラスロードのビーチで食べて本当に楽しかった。お土産も沢山もらってしまった。私はなんでこんなに友達に恵まれているのかとちょっと泣けた?

Finished Don’t Worry Darling. I didn’t hate it. Thought it was pretty interesting although, again, it was sort of predictable. Quite liked Harry Styles with different hair style. And Florence Pugh is as usual great. Perhaps the reason for low rating is for the way it ended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

Today a friend came for a visit from the other side of the water and we walked around Cook St. Village and had the famous coconut curry from The Hot and Cold Cafe at the beach, looked at some art, and picked up some shortbread. I think about this all the time, but I really don’t know what I did to deserve so so many wonderful friends in my life. She is one of those friends. We talked and we cried together today. I am so beyond grateful. Thank you ❤️
