on my way to get rid of US services i try to stop using iCloud for storing photos from my iPhone but it seems like nothing really works well.

proton drive took a week to upload the 120Gb of photos once, and now tells me every few days again that it’s „preparing to backup 19000 photos“, including long hangs at start, etc.

Nextcloud keeps just behaving strange.

it’s a long way to go.

genau genommen ist es richtig gut.
Wichtig ist dass man dieses eckige Schwarzbrot nimmt, und die Nussnougatcreme(gerne auch eins der deutlich besseren produkte mit ordentlich Nussanteil) und Butter genau so dick aufgetragen werden wie das Brot ist.

@dansup getting public reviews can be embarrassing but also get you interesting improvement ideas you might not have thought of…

i’ve seen some quite widely used tools or libraries having horrible code … in some way it’s ok as long as they work, but it also depends on how you react on feedback.

I‘ve been yelled at for not being saying „thank you for this great tool“ when trying to find out if a certain behavior making it difficult for me to use an application is intentional or i can try fix it

@selzero i was about to say i observe too that i generally can sleep fine despite late coffee or tea, but sometimes i really can’t because… and there you wrote it.

Aber der Hinweis auf Linksextreme war anscheinend wichtig. Bestimmt auch wegen Neutralität.

@augieray actually, here in Germany they dropped all these measures already more than a year ago.
You don’t even get tested anymore anywhere, so theres nothing to see here…

This is accompanied by reports of record work absence numbers in 2023 due to mysterious „respiratory way infections“ and bad effects on economy…

It’s so important to be realistic.
