A soundtrack for some surreal horror movie... or just for work.
And it's not excluded that both things could be superimposable.

For this #BlackMetalMonday , hosted by @HailsandAles , I want to retrieve a band that deserves more spotlight, IMHO.
I already gushed about Majesties' past year release. Before them, the founder has this band of melodic black/folk metal named Obsequiae, that gave us little pearls like this.
Less darkness and more epicness and magniloquence. Worth listen to it!

I know that, among us, there is people who like to do some physical movement, training or workout. So the question is: do you listen to music while training?
So, for this #ThursdayFiveList , let's choose 5 songs that you listen to usually for your training or workouts. Or if you don't train, 5 songs that you would listen to if you would train. :-)

Blades might be overused, but are still effective as a way to convey strong images into songs.
They can be used to describe a battle or as a metaphor for something that left emotional cuts. Or for many other things.
So, here is the theme for this #ThursdayFiveList : five songs about stuff with sharp edges made of metal.

Today's theme for @Kitty 's #TuneTuesday is #SameTitleDifferentSong, which is quite explicative. I'm gonna love this!
So, here the pair that instantly jumped in my mind. A classic from Mercyful Fate and another one for Interpol.

Let's start with my dear Dark Tranquillity.
So many things happen in one single song. A true rollercoaster of goosebumps.

Neurothing (neurothing@metalhead.club)'s status on Friday, 01-Mar-2024 17:31:04 JST Neurothing I'm working on a little project I want to share with this great community. 😊
On monthly cadence, I'll write a post about an album that, somehow, meant something for me.
It could be not a renown masterpiece (mostly, they are), but I want to do something different from a traditional, objective-sounding reviews. I don't even want to do reviews at all.
Just talking about an album like a chit-chat, sharing bits of life and memories here and there.
Subjective and imperfect.
What do you think?

Neurothing (neurothing@metalhead.club)'s status on Saturday, 17-Feb-2024 03:22:59 JST Neurothing For this #FridayMetalCovers , hosted by @DXMacGuffin , I'll propose... an inversion.
A metal song covered by a non-metal artist.
Here you are, Slayer's "Raining Blood", covered by Tori Amos.
Believe me, this rendition is really haunting and chilling.
