I've spent an hour or two going through different notes taken over the course of roughly two years. It's deplorable how many URLs I hit on which are 404 at best, 502, or even NXDOMAIN.
In my next life I'm gonna print out even more than I have in this one, and screw the environment.
à chaque fois que je lis "ministe de l'économie" j'ais Gérard Lenorman dans les oreilles. :-)
Whoever developed this #ansible module for #mqtt was a fool: retain isn't set.
https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/collections/community/general/mqtt_module.html
(cough)
Edit: for those who can't be bothered to follow the link: I wrote it. ;-)
Edit: chap actually did a good enough job, but the idiot who's using the module ...
@ronnie_bonkers the backend server doesn't do anything with the Authorization header. Good point though, thanks.
I have to ask, I'm sorry. #fedihelp
We're configuring a reverse proxy using Apache with this config https://github.com/owntracks/quicksetup/blob/main/files/apache/owntracks.conf.j2
All works fine, except two pages that use Web Sockets. They too connect, get their data, but after roughly 60 seconds Safari (macOS, iPadOS, iOS) re-prompt for basic auth credentials. Chrome/Firefox don't.
Using nginx with equivalent config surfaces exact same behaviour. I've read the WHOLE INTERNET and believe it's my configuration fault.
What am I doing wrong?
@feld @shane_kerr ah, sarcasm. I didn’t recognize it as a quote;)
@feld @shane_kerr ZFS no maintenance? I think it’s been rolled into https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenZFS and it looks quite active to me
@shane_kerr why? don't you like ZFS, or am I interpreting your toot incorrectly?
Professor Calculus (Professeur Tournesol) ?
I realize you're all busy at Fosdem and whatnot and that it's Kaffee and Kuchen time, but the first person to teach me why my trivial CSS at https://owntracks.org/booklet/extra.css styles h2 in green but code not in yellow at https://owntracks.org/booklet/tech/json/ wins an honorable mention in said CSS file.
The colors can cause headaches, but it's my way of debugging.
Edit: Gergely Nagy wins:
/*
* My (JP's) thanks to Gergely Nagy for teaching me how this works!
*/
.rst-content code {
color: yellow;
}
McMericans. Always cute.
@feld I’d swear you said “in some US states it's illegal to charge for electricity”; the sun must be frying my brain
@dirksteins gute Besserung und hier sind zwei Tickets die ich nicht benutzen werde.
In case of an emergency
@feld these are roasted and candied
Ich auch gebrannte Mandeln, heiss aus dem Kupferkessel.
I was standing behind a person at a supermarket checkout who actually complained to the cashier she'd purchased the wrong product at their last visit: "it's your fault I got the wrong chips/crisps!".
I couldn't resist and said: "and if you return home with your produce now and cook something that tastes like shit will that be the cashier's fault too?!"
Guess who's today's favorite customer at that register. ;)
Plans for Tuesday? If not, how about gazing at the Unix epoch time counter starting at 22:13 UTC at it rolls over to 1700000000 seconds?
This always gets me #trueStory
