@aaribaud Yes ^.^ LiberaPay and Ko-Fi both have lower fees than Patreon, but LiberaPay doesn't allow for one-off donations easily ( you have to subscribe, then cancel)

We've removed the word 'NSFW' from our rules/code of conduct, and replaced it with 'lewd'.

'NSFW' is sex-worker exclusionary, and besides, a bit redundant considering the number of people who work from home, or are self employed, or in a situation where viewing lewd content 'at work' is totally fine.

We'll be encouraging use of the # Lewd hashtag henceforth when tagging lewd posts, instead of 'nsfw'. :artpaw:

Anything you create is worth creating, even if the results are below your expectations; it's all practice, and if you're practicing, you're improving. I use this to fight my inner perfectionist and allow myself to draw things that are subjectively 'bad'; it doesn't matter, because it was practice. Time spent working on something improves your skill, your understanding, and any physical components (like strengthening your finger muscles for better pen control). Keep creating.

@maia Nothing really :) MastoArt refers to 'mastodon' rather than the whole fediverse (Mastodon is the name of the software but there are other softwares people can install to run an instance like ours, so 'fediart or just 'art' are more all-encompassing in that sense, but people using non-mastodon instances will still see content tagged with MastoArt so it doesn't limit its reach or anything

This is a blog post by the admin of mastodon.se where they acknowledge that they have 'anti-political-correctness' accounts, anti-abortionists, harassers, etc. (there are neo-nazi adjacent accounts on there), saying they won't action their accounts because they don't want to be the 'thought police'.

As these kinds of accounts directly threaten the safety of the marginalised people on .art, we'll be defederating.
