     Gedankenverloren hielt sie am Fuß der Treppe inne. Wie sie damals, als junge Frau, auf der Brüstung gesessen und auf ihre Liebste gewartet hatte, die über das Meer zu ihr nach Hause zurückkehrte. An die Wunder, die sie damals erlebt hatten, erinnerte heute nur noch der Antiquitätenladen.

     @Curator Lost in thought, she paused at the foot of the stairs. How she had sat on the parapet back then, as a young woman, waiting for her girlfriend to return home across the sea! Today, only the antique store reminded her of the wonders they had experienced back then.
