@H_A_Copington There are generally two avenues to wealth: Sell overpriced products to the wealthy or sell vast quantities of cheap junk to many people. Second option generally requires massive startup capital, unless you're doing something computer related.
The "Small Business" is dying due to giant corporations doing everything cheaper and faster (not necessarily better), so the opportunities for becoming wealthy from nothing are fewer. Then there's the simple fact that if you double population you're going to have prices of scarce goods (land) go up.

@Fiddle @arcana @lain Tax not directly included but is factored into PPP multiplier number for pricing of stuff like healthcare or transportation that government is providing but people would otherwise buy. If government is overspending on healthcare then it effectively lowers the pseudo-GDP listed. It's also decade old stats, and their real-gdp has stayed roughly the same, so they're even worse off now.

It's an interesting organization that takes everything they find useful in religions/cultures and meshes it into a somewhat coherent belief structure. Jesus, Mohammad, Hermes, and Freddy Mercury are all part of the pantheon in roughly that order. Also, time travel and aliens are significant parts of the prophetic animes.
