    @newt @captainepoch oh I see. Then I wrongly interpreted your earlier comment "I'm glad I left kernel development. Linux is definitely no fun in this regard." to be related to the upstream process (many people don't like aspect of it such as being e-mail based vs forges). But since those modifications were private, it could be only related to the codebase itself? Too complex compared to the BSD's?

    Since the report of 3888.9% performance improvement made it not only to Phoronix (no surprises there) but is now also the subject of at least two youtube videos, where one has 212k views at this point (just wow), I've decided to explain in some detail why the benchmark is in this context completely bogus, and that people missed the very same report also contains a 9% regression in another benchmark (which may be actually less bogus :)

    @ljs @kees @kernellogger I think the "sometimes merges new series too quickly" is perceived as the issue especially if it breaks -next and prevents testing there. Last LSF Andrew said he might create mm-experimental as another branch that would not be in -next so maybe that would move in the direction Thorsten would like too?

    @pavel @ben translations are fine but not so sure about the programming languages part. Also, disagreement about using one's own content (created before LLMs took off) for LLM training is not the same thing as sabotaging, IMHO.

    @zoul @janbartosik no já doufám že to tak je, když polezu mimo kontejner na nějaký web kde jsou reklamy nebo analytika atd od skliku (a nezafunguje uBlock?) tak cookies z kontejneru nedostanou.
