hey so let's imagine your employer is dropping a lot of money to get your org rated at FedRamp High. You plan to have it completed and certified by the end of calendar 2025.

Given everything that's going on, do we think there's going to *be* a FedRamp *anything*?

Like given the goals of the admin, I can't see how they want the gov't doing fuck all.

probably a fringe opinion but no discussion of "fixing" costs in the US healthcare calamity is valid w/o first addressing that we need to comprehensively favor prevention over treatment. There's money in getting sick, and very little in being healthy. Starve the beast - go for a walk!

i remain unclear why stallman is essential to the free software movement at this point. it's basically "done”. you don't need to go to big crowds and explain why it's important any more. everyone knows the deal, everyone knows the stakes, mission accomplished.

Is it AI, or does our power grid just suck ass? Given that infrastructure is a cost center in capitalism, we don't spend on it. So is it AI, or is it just the realization that some stuff sucks

i guess on reflection I'm actually not happy about trump's conviction. it's a sign of a dying, corrupt empire.
