Since graduating as a nurse I have, on occasion, considered studying medicine. I mostly discounted the idea as I'd be too old by the time I graduated. However, now I believe being a doctor would just be awful. The culture is toxic and the workload ridiculous. The only way to improve your lot is to claw your way to the top of the pile but even then the chalice is poison. Just my own opinion though - feel free to correct me.

Just transferred some money (Aus -> UK) to my Sister to put toward my Dad’s birthday. I identified every bus, bicycle and traffic light in the American continent and received enough text messages for a Catholic confirmation with God. My own fault I suppose as I was logged into a VPN at the time. Security all seemed a bit haphazard and batshit crazy though if I'm honest.

I paid extra to cover the transfer fees then there was extra 20 quid fee added on just for the heck of it. The financial industry is a conglomeration of dodgy broken thieving middlemen is it not?

@clacke I had to sort out my 90yr old neighbour today. She really is a chaos goblin. There is definitely some truth to the idea that old age is in some ways retiring to childhood.

An exercise in frustration, a thread.

In the downtime between never-ending house reno’s I have been tinkering with an old Raspberry Pi 3 B. I am attempting to set it up as an Access Point. At the moment it runs with the old insecure WPA and refuses to connect via RSN.

I have already thoroughly banged my head against the various hostapd & wpa_supplicant pathways. I have read and tried dozens of forum ‘solutions’.
