That problem is inherent to Fedi, and not specific to microinstances... if anything being by yourself makes you more aware and more likely to look at the originating server to check replies before you pile on.
There's also things like fedifetcher which helps in a very clumsy way, in certain circumstances.

And it's genuinely meant in earnest, when I go "ahh how come you didn't go with X?" it's because it's what I'd have done, and I'm wondering what information I missed.
But now I'm thinking it probably doesn't come off like that, does it? ?
