@feld I'm also stoked to see people using Pelican in 2025. I would still be too, but the speed boost on Hugo when you have 1500 pages is too much to ignore.

@thomasfuchs @mos_8502 I was going to post earlier figuring that this is what you're talking about, but decided to wait so as not to try put words in your mouth.
That problem is inherent to Fedi, and not specific to microinstances... if anything being by yourself makes you more aware and more likely to look at the originating server to check replies before you pile on.
There's also things like fedifetcher which helps in a very clumsy way, in certain circumstances.

@mos_8502 Bonus points if you can come up with valid Z80 boot code, that fits in the boot sector, that is also valid x86 code that just prints a "this is not for your computer" message before halting.

@hacks4pancakes I sometimes do this, but phrased as a question... And it's genuinely meant in earnest, when I go "ahh how come you didn't go with X?" it's because it's what I'd have done, and I'm wondering what information I missed.
But now I'm thinking it probably doesn't come off like that, does it? ?
