@lookitmychicken @JillsJoy I can see why Tommy Hilfiger wanted to work with them, as this looks like a decent catalog page.

I cannot see why JYP wanted to work with TH though— especially with this styling. Like, they didn’t have to go with kinda preppy and very bland.

They could have at least tried to keep their personal styles relatively intact.

@are0h in my experience, that sort of shouting has less to do with helping people adopt software that *may* suit their needs better, and more about the sense of superiority. The “I know better” of it.

I say this for 2 reasons.
1. Everything you just said.
2. The speed with which some of these same people will go from: “you using this software is of absolute importance to protect your rights as a user.” To: “actually you deserve to be exploited by your software if you don’t switch.”

Btw, I was recently like, the first person a baby Stay Stayed at. It was adorable. :blobcataww:

(I also explained concepts like main dancer and such, bc she’s pretty new to KPop outside of basic cultural osmosis. I suspect her bias is Hyunjin, but I won’t assume.)

I have found (a dupe of?) the fake tattoo shirt that San wore for the Black Cat Nero video.

Given the price, and the store, I’m leaning towards it being a dupe. But still.

(Ignore the visible real tattoos under the shirt. Those threw me off, in any case.)

@lookitmychicken I haven’t gotten around to watching the whole thing, but the bit I saw was really neat. Especially how they translated the choreo given the significant difference in group sizes and domino (as in effect not the song) choreo bits.

@lookitmychicken lol Fair! I’m pretty shy about sharing steamy recs myself, especially in the context of, like, because it is.

It’s also something I’m poking at, but I think maybe I should consistently be able to talk myself into sharing fandom videos without hemming and hawing as a first step. :blobcatfingerguns:

@lookitmychicken I feel you there. Like, I don’t even recommend on nearly the same scale either in quantity or reach, but I can find it hard to recommend fics.

For me it’s also probably a degree of excess self consciousness.

In fact, even the other stuff I share (videos, pictures, etc), I’m kinda used to not sharing in most places. Masto has been something of an experiment. So that’s something for me to think about.

Thought: Languages have textures, particularly when spoken by native speakers. But a lot of the language learning tools don’t have the same texture, like it’s sanded down to be more easily understood by someone who doesn’t speak it yet.

Because I’m learning Korean, and watching Korean media, it’s easier to spot in that context. But also, remembering how both Duolingo and Rosetta Stone’s Spanish lessons sound, it happens there too. There’s a flow that’s missing.

@lookitmychicken pffft. Also, the fact that they’re both in the baggiest of baggy tops (okay not really, but still!) adds a layer of funny to this for me.
