@jwildeboer what do you think of instances that block other instances just because they don't block Threads? That seems like the point where the Fediverse really disintegrates.

@jwildeboer It could be seen as a good thing by us, seasoned Fediverse users, but it will never be seen as a good thing by ordinary users simply because it's not good experience. They just wanna be in touch with friends. Your friend suddenly disappears because they happen to be on an instance that violated something. There is no transparency, no obvious way to appeal. The friend is just gone.

#Gcompris is a great educational tool for kids. Our 4 year old daughter is used to touch screens and I just couldn't find a way to teach her how to use the mouse. Gcompris managed to do it in 30 minutes.
She is also learning letters, basic math, etc. in the process.

@janbartosik Díval jsem se na to, vypadá to pěkně a náhrada za Goodreads by se hodila, protože to jde dost dolů, ale přijde mi, že tam téměř zcela chybí české knihy.

@zoul otázka je, nakolik je to vypovídající číslo. Leasingovky registrují auta téměř výhradně v Praze, takže s pražskými značkami dnes jezdí celá republika.

@zoul Díky, trend nevyvracím. Bohužel v ČR stále trpíme postkomunistickým komplexem materiálního nedostatku a auto je tu pořád statusová věc. Zabere to ještě jednu dvě generace, než lidi zjistí, že ve velkých městech jsou spíš na obtíž a mít vlastní auto není lifetime achievement.

I've fallen in love with #Iotas note-taking app. It does everything I need, it doesn't clutter the interface with stuff I don't need and allows me to focus on the content. And it works great with #Nextcloud Notes.

@janbartosik Tohle fakt závidím. Já jsem letos přečetl 23, stejně jako loni. Rád bych přečetl víc, ale nějak to nemůžu posunout. Je fakt, že do toho čtu ještě Respekt a pár dalších časopisů. Na knihy potřebuju klid, což je během dne s dětmi bez šance, takže čtu po nocích.

@marcel_kolaja Marceli, už někdo v Bruselu Maďarům diplomaticky naznačil, že v té EU taky nemusí být? Přijde mi, že Maďarsko pěkně ukazuje, že EU by měla mít mechanismus, jak se zbavovat členů, kteří už jaksi nesdílí stejné hodnoty, činnost spolku jen sabotují a jsou tam jen pro ty miliardy.

@smallcircles LinkedIn penalizes posts with links outside the service even more than Facebook. When I include a link, I can bet that it will be seen by almost no one.
I'm thinking about ways to workaround it like including a picture with a link to the blog saying that the article can be found there. In a way t's ridiculous, but it may actually bring more readers than posts with links.

The #ActivityPub plugin for #Wordpress is an absolute game changer when it comes to reader engagement. I published a #blog post yesterday and it already has 8 comments and 7 of them are from #Fediverse. The total number of comments is actually much higher, the plugin doesn't handle reactions to comments yet.
Meanwhile the blogpost has received 4 views from #LinkedIn and 2 from #Facebook.
