@georgetakei I am descended from two separate Mayflower families. Those people who came here on wooden boats. We are all, every single one of us who is not of Native American heritage, immigrants. The only people who believe that being American means being white, are the bad guys. The guys who Americans have always historically fought in our best moments, those bad guys, are trying redefine what being American means. Our Statue of Liberty asks the planet for its poor and tired immigrants. Our grandparents, who fought the Nazis last time, were all immigrants. The best version of America is the one that invented #startrek, where infinite diversity in infinite combinations is our greatest strength. And where Nazis who want blood purity are our enemies.

You know, being a millennial, it was an important part of my youth to prepare for the apocalypse and yet somehow I never really thought we’d get to the point where the direction of WWIII would be steered by a second Howard Hughes who apparently keeps sperm donation cups in his Kleenex box shoes with which he hopes to populate the cosmos

@Lazarou @aral This is his post. He’s allowed to express his view that violent rhetoric is suboptimal than the time-tested satirical ridicule. You are allowed to disagree. If you feel violence rhetoric is fine, and given the extremity of the current climate change situation, that’s probably a super valid argument, but you don’t need to name-call him for disagreeing.
