Same as with rape victims, how many lawyers and judges, more or less subtly question the morals of the victim? Were you drunk? How many drinks did you have? What were you wearing that night? Are you promiscuous? How many sexual partners did you have in the last year?

@HebrideanHecate @sim @Childfree In 2007, I went back to school and studied in computer graphics with a guy that had just immigrated, with his young family, from Morocco. He spoke French perfectly, he was also a muslim. He told me he was not an active muslim, the only thing he did was follow the Ramadan.

I had asked him if his wife wore a veil or something and he told me no, not all muslim women did, it depended on which type of muslim. She was a pharmacist and was studying to get her equivalency for the right to practice.

He told me the thing that terrified him and his wife the most was the more radical islamists being accepted here now (their daughter was kindergarten level). They fled Morocco because of the mounting turmoil, turbulence and violence over there because of the islamists.

@Childfree I can't understand what is going through their minds, you know? They seek asylum and yet they kill people in the country they want to immigrate to. That'll give 'em brownie points fer sure!... Talk about shooting your own foot off right to the knee...
