@feditips yeah just looked a second into it and AFAIK there is no API method for this yet. (Or I haven't seen it). So I guess creating an API method that fetches the last 1000 posts or so would make sense. Rate limiting on this would also make sense, otherwise it could be used as an attack. Have to tinker around a bit.

Anyways fetching ALL 100k posts (if someone posted that much) wouldn't make sense. Should still be limited to some kind

@feditips interesting. I don't think it would be too difficult to get this result developed. If I have time in the next weeks I'll take a look into it in the next weeks and make a pull request. Shouldn't be that complicated.

@z428 @feditips agreed. Also at the end of the day it's still an open source project that doesn't have the same resources as multi billion dollar companies have - which is good

Does someone know how I can search for a video on my #Peertube instance, that was uploaded to another Peertube instance, so I can watch it on mine?

How does #peertube federate? Does it work like on Mastodon? One user on your instance follows another user on another instance and users on the same instance can also discover the videos of the channel registered on the other instance?

Or does it work in a different way on there?
