What’s so depressing is that as a species if we wanted to we could wipe out SARS2 like we did with that strain of flu a couple of years ago. Imagine lifting everyone’s lives up with this one action. But no, better to pretend it’s all fine and keep getting sick while millions are denied any form of a life.

Approach to cholera by world governments as if it was COVID: we are working on new vaccines and treatments, please continue to drink the sewage. If you die from cholera we will record it as death by misadventure. Cholera symptoms are mild. Anyone found trying to clean the water before drinking it will be arrested for creating a panic. Everything is fine. It’s seasonal now.

@Npars01 @zoom_earth it’s so sad that these politicians can be bought for so little money. A pittance a year for what? So they can destroy the planet and bring forth fascism again? If you are going to be one of the most evil fucks on earth you’d think it would pay better. Isn’t he like almost a billionaire anyway? What’s 140k to him anyway? Why bother?

If there are no serious repercussions from ignoring COVID and letting everyone become sicker and sicker over the next few year then governments around the world will have learned that THIS is the future model for dealing with all health emergencies, so basically we are all fucked.

So long as there are people who are desperate enough to work while sick, keeping the economy afloat and making line go up for corporations there is no reason for governments to do anything. New better vaccines? Why bother - people have been brainwashed into thinking that they have an immune system that is virtually invincible and vaccines have 5G microchips in them so Soros can track you. Clean air? Why bother - people have shown a willingness to breath whatever shite is in the air.
