@aral incentivizing kicking tenants to re-rent and raise the rent. What can possibly go wrong?
The housing problem in this country is insane

@aral @frankdelporte ah, that's unfortunate. I loved the initiative when I was part of it (2018-2020 or so). We did run a Club for autistic kids and it was a great experience.
@aral I did run a Code Club dinner years ago, it felt definitely a force for good... But of course there'll be people tainting everything 😓
This is the same code club that's run by the Raspberry Pi foundation and Coder Dojo, right?
@AaronDavid the original game intended to show that "even when starting from the same place", whoever gets an early lead takes all.
We do not start from the same place in life.
@youronlyone @autistics even more fascinating is that sometimes I ask an LLM to rewrite things to make them sound more NT
@Arapalla @KatyElphinstone there's a beauty in seeing someone passionately explain something.
This week a friend spent 30 minutes telling me all the details about new technology for basketball shoes.
I also spent some time explaining the intricacies of amateur board game design.
@youronlyone @autistics fascinating and concerning. I have to try some of my old blog posts, I've indeed been told that my writing style was "special" before
@aperezdc I thought about that when making the game, the main reason is that I wanted to only fire one thrust at a time, and if you separate them it felt like you should allow both (not a technical limitation, more of a design choice)
@aperezdc funny enough, the original SpaceCat uses that technique, but because the movement changes the angle, and the thruster is always on the same place.
Unfortunately That was not something I could do with the limited capabilities of the MSX
@aral couldn't make it to the center today, it'll have to be another time. I'm sure you rocked
@aral just a minor nitpick, let's say
Anti-anti-gay != Gay
It actually means pro-gay, or maybe gay-ally.
I'm not sure if someone can be pro-fascist without being one, but maybe that will be a better message 🤷♀️
@LittleTokyo I've been hesitant to go watch it. I'm a Tron fan, but the reviews were extremely polarized.
@aral I had some hope for the Linux Foundation 😓
@aral I'm disappointed
@aral I miss the times when they only broke their software and our privacy
@aral reminded me of this
@aral when in doubt, the side that kills children is usually the wrong one
@aral I agree. AI could be really useful if used fairly, but in the context of capitalism it amplifies its dangers
@aral is there a way in which capitalism does not degenerate into fascism?
@aral I think the ones that are just greedy but not intelligent don't get far, the ones that are intelligent but not greedy also got eaten by the system.
That leaves you with both. Not genius, but definitely intelligent, and obviously greedy.
I make retro games for #MSX and mint-tin board games for fun, and Android software engineer for a living. Also TCGs, mostly #Lorcana and #MtGNeurodiversity advocate. #ActuallyAutistic
