A few nights back I decided to listen to The Ex’s 2025 release Spider And Fly and was distracted listening to The Ex & Getatchew Mekurya. I love how they build and explore their tracks both texturally/lyrically and will be retuning many tome throughout the res of 25.

Can’t fuck with Kode 9’s compositional creativity. It challenges conceptions but serves them up in a way we all understand completely. Starts with an odd hooky sample and simple step rhythm that later evolves into an all out raver of an almost anthem.
