It's such a good service that there's no way it's not going to eventually come out that they are paying their employees less than a minimum wage or they are union busting or they source their metal from forced labor camps or something like a terrible thing that will make me have to stop using them

While looking at McMaster-Carr for 2.5 mm bolts, a 2.5 mm tap, and a counter sink, found myself getting annoyed with the price it was all adding up to and then I had a thought:

What if rivets?

A pack of stainless steel rivets from McMaster-Carr is much more affordable than all those other things, and I won't have to worry about them unscrewing themselves

Too hot but keeping cool

The neighbors threw out a bunch of equipment and machinery. Rip to my attempts to downsize my junk pile

I bought a used rear wheel for the IEB from my local bike shop for $10 the other day because the bearings were very crunchy.

I took it apart today to rebuild it and I found a bunch of metal particles in the grease. I thought the bearing balls would be trashed, but they looked pristine. It was the bearing cones that were trashed.

It's fun having a USB microscope to play with sometimes.

I don't like the reactions in Outlook. I don't want notifications that someone hearted my email.

I don't love the display on my e-bike because you can barely read it in daylight, even set on its brightest level.

I 3D printed a little visor for it, and that helps quite a bit, but I think I display also needs some kind of anti-reflective coating to really be easily legible

I also got this geometric piece back and the marbling looks excellent after firing

Ceramics class! Today was the last day for glazing, and I gota few things back. First is this really excellent bowl.

Pipes, with lighting

I reglazed my pipes sculpture and I like how they look much better now

@North I want to build a much larger, more intricate version with many more holes to light up

Does this belong to one person with wide-ranging aesthetic preferences, or a couple who can't agree on one style for their apartment?
