In lieu of hardware shuffling this year, I'm going to browse around and share more fun stuff. The one big goal is to set up the WGS 95 as an A/UX file server - I've never messed with A/UX before, and am a total unix novice. Should be fun!

Another evening with the Toshiba - on my second city. Gotta say, this laptop has been bulletproof - I know it's only SC2K, but no freezes or hardware issues, and I haven't taken it apart at all.

The cord fell out of the back when I was moving it around, and the battery gave it enough time to panic plug it back in! And it keeps time between uses.

A few evenings of use and you forget you're even using a nub

Who wants to move to my city in the forest with no roads? It looks idyllic ✨

It's no Macintosh, but I wish the Mac laptops of the era had this build quality. The screen, the hinge, and the keyboard scream $4,999 laptop!

A very inelegant SC2K experience in Windows 95, but this Toshiba Tecra 510CDT is a total beast. It's from 1996 (early PB1400 would be a good comparison) and has so many ports, lights, buttons, and latches 😅

So this absolute chonker of a turtle spent about two hours laying eggs right off our porch last night at dusk

@mac84tv I think...yes. Someone had an IPNetRouter-like gateway setup and got on the internet over AppleTalk over the internet

I have the 7200 IPNetRouter machine hooked up (and it has gotten my localtalk-only old Macs on the internet before) and want to try this exact thing too sometime! (Or bring down the whole network trying 😅)
